celebrating women's day

this is a little concert i had at home when i invited the ladies of the neighbourhood for a cup of tea on the occasion of the international women's day. bist-ji gave me accompaniment on both harmonium and violin. this was the first occasion of him coming to my new home. nice feeling about that. mishraji- ofcourse who is not in the picture is also a great support.

as far as singing- i sang madhuvanti (sun le araj meri..ektal vilambit and ab mori baat mano saawan) and because of the word saawan (that one of the guests construed as meaning rains) i also gave an introduction to raga megh! (incidentally the weather has turned a bit rainy and possibly a few drops also fell from the heavens)
and then i sang kabir bhajans and upon request a meera bhajan too. the entire singing lasted a maximum of 50-55 minutes.
