hansadhwani

on the day of basant this year (11th feb 2008) this is me readying to sing an invocation to ganesha- the vighan haran deity in raga hansadhwani, in a little concert in my own home. funnily enough i scheduled the concert for the afternoon (post lunch at that!) because no other slot seemed valid enough.
this composition in raga hansadhwani (also the name of my home now) is set in the 10 beat jhaptaal and my guru (smt.madhuri dandage) taught it to me over the phone from pune...had she been able to make it to delhi at this time she was going to sing it herself. but for now the listeners would have to make do with my singing.
